Uguu! I'm so confused right now! I was heart broken so many imes, and then it was like, oh yeah, everyone is fine. Whaaaaaat the hell! I couldnt find a reasonable explanation for half of this story....................................hmm
was this all just one wierd dream sequence? what was with ayu dying, living with nayuki akiko and yuuichi if she was dead...but wasnt really dead, only in a coma...living with everyone...while asleep in a hospital bed...in a coma...dead (starts eating own shirt). Ive watched some confusing anime before...but seriously what the hell. And was makoto the fox verson ever really there? she must have been. I thought when I started watching that there wasnt going to be any of this magic bullshit! just a straightforward drama...not that I didnt like it...alot.

Although, you know, come to think of it, I guess Yuiichi and Ayu are kind of very well suited for each other, and it does leave everyone else free. Maybe that makes it a good ending after all?

That was f'ing hilarious, and nearly as cynical and even more bitter than my reactions. Congratulations. At least the end animation is somewhat less random now.

Come to think of it, what happened to Ayu's backpack?

(So the young-Yuiichi in a big coat thing made "sense" to me, because Ayu was living in the past. One assumes Yuiichi actually brought the headband to her hospital room, rather than just being randomly psychic.)

And the very last scene was a definite "Oh, come on!" moment.

I'm thinking the better ending would've been about half-way throught 23, where he meets Yet Another Redhead, who is also a Red-Hot Older Woman. Not so much to satisfy his MILFing desires, but cast as a "I'm moving on, I'm growing up." Not, "I'm helplessly in love with the least womanly girl I could find, because I'm still emotionally ten."
