A 900MHz phone interfering with WiFi? Odd. WiFi runs on the 2.4GHz band.
That is to say, DO NOT BUY A 2.4GHz PHONE! I have one and it goes all clicky if I use it anywhere near anything with WiFi. See if you can acquire a 5.8GHz phone instead.
