As mentioned previously on verselogic, Dar Williams played The Ark last night. It was a damn fine show.
Dar did not play either mine nor J’s favourite tracks (When I Was a Boy and After All, respectively). However, she did play several other touching songs, including The Babysitter’s Here, which I’d not heard before (but which was released on Honesty Room in ‘93). It moved me to tears, though I’m not sure J noticed.
I notice that both the songs that we seem to adore tell a story in a rather linear format, instead of looping through the same verse & chrous constantly. This applies to other “favourite” songs of mine as well.
Dar had a great suggestion that there be Echo units all over the world. This could lead to delightful drama as one watches another play on TV whilst washing dishes. Ph33r the latently-synchronic dancing Echo.
