cwdb2 Public Release

Months have passed, of crazy writing, rewriting, staring off into nothing, and rewriting yet again. The Megatokyo Writer’s Archive has been updated with the new cwdb2 codebase, yielding several new features. _Quinn posted a filk in SD to commemorate this event (just as he did the last one). Immediatly visible is the css-driven skinning, now in pretty blue. The searching capabilities have been much improved, doing away with the long ugly urls for each query/group/sort parameter. We added date range limiting, an oft-requested feature. And every search query is now augmented with a rss feed. Under the hood, nearly every element of the site, from search phrases to database wrappers, and import and output templates has been modularized, which will result in faster turnaround on feature improvements and bug fixes. So go, play around with it, and report any problems you find. In the meantime, I’ll just hanging out with the Crazy Writers, Dreamers, and Believers.
