In GITS:SAC, 2nd GIG, Episode 11, Major Kusanagi disappears during a recruitment test, off to a store of memories long past. Am I to understand this right, these hollow shells are those discarded by the Major and Batou when they grew up? I am beginning to believe that the Major knows perfectly well, and Batou has forgotten much in his service. I’d like to see him fold another crane, to see if he can still muster the dexterity body and soul to create something of beauty.
