The geek observes that never a dork be (though commonly used jestingly by friendlier associates), and only a nerd in eyes of gradeschool deliquints. They’re probably jealous. The geek be proud, and (hopefully) capable, lacking (most of) the essential social failings so commonly found in dork- or nerd-dom. Geeks are obsessive, and truely attentive to [...]
Shannon was with me. We were driving to my parents place, to cool off in their pool, late last night. In an unforseen turn of events, a dog ran in front of my car. I was going 80km/h (50mph) at the time, southbound on Howard Ave, just past 6th Concession Rd. Dark black, it ran [...]
Went rock-climbing again yesterday after work. And, to my complete surprise, managed to climb a particularly challanging boldering route and haul this body over the peek. The route has bugged me since I started climbing. I’m quite glad to have managed this feat; now I just need to repeat this dependably.
Months have passed, of crazy writing, rewriting, staring off into nothing, and rewriting yet again. The Megatokyo Writer’s Archive has been updated with the new cwdb2 codebase, yielding several new features. _Quinn posted a filk in SD to commemorate this event (just as he did the last one). Immediatly visible is the css-driven skinning, now [...]
I got my G3 back from Martii over at QD Mac. It’s got a shiny new chassis and logic board, processor running 33Mhz faster than the dead one. He threw in an Apple CDRom drive, handy for all those bootable cds.
Shortly, following this season of shinnannigans, I’ll be installing OSX on the G3, and using [...]
Internet Explorer doesn’t believe us when we claim “Content-type: text/plain”, and just makes something up. MSIE employees admit this content type non-compliance, but have done nothing to fix it, under the banner of backwards compatability.
In effect, if IE is told the file format is text/plain, but it encounters html-looking text, it assumes it to be [...]

This is freaking brilliant work!
In the continuing saga of the blogsphere’s infestation of our social structures, Jetpack Labs now has a blog. Be sure to stop in and get your picture taken!
In yet another episode of growing up, I now know how to change the oil and filter on a 2001 Corolla. It’s a little messy, but less than an hour’s slow work. I commemorated this astounding success by jumping in the pool, and leaving childish messages on Shannon’s voicemail. To recuperate my loss of dignity, [...]
I’ve been listing to Intuition “Staring Off at Nothing” (Beatfreq Mix) on the Synthpop Club Anthems 3 compilation. Or, more accuratly, I’ve been listing to the entire compilation, in Redbook, in my car. Originally the music’s obtination-inspiration was entirely due to J. And I thought it pretty neat. However, as of this morning the song [...]
