Contact
Watched Contact (1997) tonight, starring Jodie Foster as Ellie Arroway.
Lots of people played themselves.
IMHO, the shining casting was William Fichtner as one Kent Clark. A seemingly autistic man, with very poor vision, but an extreemly fine-tuned sense of hearing. To the point of being capable of detecting intricate patterns in sound far beyond most of other people, and in fact beyond much technology’s ability to filter out. A neat skill, and well played. I am reminded of Andrew Miller’s character Kazan in the 1997 film Cube.
