Cisco Event Redux

Post-Cisco event, I have the following to say. While it focused on Cisco equipment and technologies, the people delivering the presentation were not Cisco employees themselves, but rather Applied Computer Systems (that link looks like a totally different company, I don’t know who might own who), a semi-local Cisco Partner. They are unofficially affiliated with St Clair College, being that several of their team members graduated from our computer program in years past.

They’re a Tier 1 supplier extending from Southern Ontario at Windsor up to around Tilbury and Toronto area. They specialize in RoadWarrior-style short-term projects involving fast-paced design and implementation.

Maxis is StClair’s internet bandwidth provider, evidently.

The importance of obtaining my CCNA has been highlighted. Lambton College has a 5 day $2000CA ccna boot-camp which spits out CCNA certification. StClair and UofW currently do not, though ASC is trying to get such classes implemented.
