Blog Comment Spam

As I am running a wordpress blog, I have recently been getting more and more comment spam. I turned on comment moderation for spam words and comments with more than 3 links (as all the comment spam I was getting seemed to have 4+). However, it still doesn’t seem like a very good solution.

news.com.au are reporting an Australian court has been told that two men dressed as characters from ‘Counter Strike‘ shot and killed a man during a Sydney home invasion on 2002-01-07. The article makes no mention of the specific dress of the persons involved, however we can infer they were clothed in either army fatigues or [...]

Buy a Gun For America

Shannon’s blog links to Guns Magazine, which seems to be promoting firearms purchusing on the sole basis of “cause you can!”

Most unpleasent.
That said, [...]

TeraGo Networks

TeraGo Networks is a Canadian high-bandwidth data communications provider. They supply internet and voice connectivity via highspeed links. I have inquired of their ability to provide 2-3Mbps internet connectivity, sans SLA, to these premises for comparable prices to DSL/Cable suppliers.

Wordpress Comment Spam

I was comment spammed shortly after Shannon was. This is the first time I’ve noticed this happen, and will thus be investigating just what can be done about it. Maybe there’s some central blacklist repository of comment-spams that the WP software can check against when comments are posted. Hmm..
