Hilary is a very teasable person, true to Shannon’s word. The I-heart-Josh necklace pendant was extreemly tacky at best. Even if I cared deaply for Josh I wouldn’t have worn it. She must really like him.
Sometimes I wonder how it affects her self-esteem.
Matoko, my cdless 486 laptop is having her aging Slackware8 install upgraded to -current. I had bounced around the idea of installing Gentoo, but decided against it on the basis of harddisk space availability. I currently have Slackware-current installing from NFS.
In other news, the Xplornet guys dropped by this morning when I was busy waking [...]
After spending a wonderful weekend in J’s company, I have returned back to my home in Canada, Ontario, LaSalle (which dispite the heckling of naysayers, continues to exist).
J makes for some extreemly interesting and engaging conversaion and company. I enjoyed every moment of the weekend, and am very glad that I went.
Upon my return I [...]
Yesterday afternoon my data phoneline was rendered dead. Bell has promiced to send a truck sometime between 1000h and 2000h Sunday. My connection (and more importantly kuu-rin’s) to the wired will be significantly hampered.
I, however, will be heading out this evening for a night on the town with J. See you Sunday.
After a cursory bit of curiousity, I have discovered that my WindowsXP desktop machine (media production) had a primary partition with over 40% fragmentation. Read, BAD! I have become accustomed to EXT3, and forgotten about filesystem fragmentation completely. Time to defrag!
I just finished my Traffic Analysis and Specification document for MIT642. And that’s good, because it’s due this morning.
Apparently I’ve been invited to a living-room anime party this Saturday, in some other country. And I havn’t had luck finding an address or a domain to whois after a cursory glance around. I hope I don’t [...]
Last night I spent 2+ hours sorting, filtering and organizing 9.2Gib of AMV’s. Doing this exposed me to a lot of good AMV’s that I havn’t seen in a while, and reclaimed from drivespace from crappy ones I downloaded on a whim.
However, more significantly, it provided an excuse to help me avoid working on my [...]
I just got a tution invoice for this semester from St Clair College for -237$. Huzzah!
In semi-response to J’s post regarding Missle Silos and French Catacombs, I spent a great deal of time (3 hours?) this morning reading through infiltration.org, who have a New Definition of Urban Exploration posted. overlooking that I missed it’s posting few months ago, it is worth a read.
In particular, I found myself rereading the articles [...]
The endless problems associated with transporting this body around continue. Work, class, moving back and forth is difficult at best. Longer than 2 hours walk from my house, public transit is not a very good option. No parental vehicle has been given or loaned to me. Thus, I am constantly mooching rides from people.
So, universe, [...]
